Hello...I usually have one of your stations going all day while I am working. Here lately it seems that there are commercials every ten minutes. what gives? have you increased the number of commercials? If this continues I am going to have just start listening to my CD collection. I hate commercials. sorry.

    Hello Ron,

Thanks for writing in. AccuRadio has been playing audio advertisements in-between songs for several years - it is how we keep our service running while keeping it free for listeners.

There are fewer commercial breaks built in to each hour of AccuRadio listening for logged-in listeners than for anonymous listeners, and fewer ads on AccuRadio overall than on broadcast radio and most other streaming services. What varies, however, is the supply of advertising. If no advertisers are buying ads at a particular time, we have no ads to run, so both logged in and anonymous listeners would have very few ads. The opposite is true when the supply of ads is high -- both listeners would get more ads (though, again, the logged in listener would get fewer for every hour's worth of music).

    Hopefully this answers your question.

    Have a great day,

    CE
